Water Safety Aide Volunteer Program - Water Safety Aides - Summer 2025 Interested in working with children and teaching swim lessons? Sign up today to be a Water Safety Aide (WSA)!Water Safety Aides assist the lifeguard teachers with swim lessons. Teachers will have WSAs demonstrate skills, help enforce safety rules, help watch swimmers and encourage participants in the class. Water Safety Aides may be age 12 to 15 and should have at least level 3 swim lesson experience. The Swim Lesson Director can sign community service hour sheets for volunteers - please bring your sheet on the last day you volunteer for the summer!When you register your child, please list the weeks of swim lessons they plan on helping out with - please make sure they can make at least a full week when they plan on helping out. Session 1, 2 and 3 lessons run from 8:45 - 10:45am Monday - Friday (NO LESSONS 7/4). Session 4 (8/11-8/15) lessons will run from 9:25 - 11:00am.Parents must drop off and pick up - WSA's should plan on being at the pool at 8:30am for Sessions 1, 2, 3 and 9:00am for Session 4.

Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim) - Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim), Session 1 This program is designed for young children and their parents. The purpose of the course is to familiarize children ages 2 – 4 with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, the course also teaches techniques parents can use to help orient their children to the water. Taught in a group setting with certified lifeguards, this program is a great way to help your child learn to be comfortable in the water and introduce them to basic swimming skills using demonstrations, games, and songs! This lesson is modeled after the American Red Cross Parent & Child Swim Program. One adult must accompany each child in the water in proper swim wear.Swim lessons are taught by department-trained swim lesson instructors and volunteer water safety aides. Water Safety Aide Volunteer Program - Water Safety Aides - Summer 2025 Interested in working with children and teaching swim lessons? Sign up today to be a Water Safety Aide (WSA)!Water Safety Aides assist the lifeguard teachers with swim lessons. Teachers will have WSAs demonstrate skills, help enforce safety rules, help watch swimmers and encourage participants in the class. Water Safety Aides may be age 12 to 15 and should have at least level 3 swim lesson experience. The Swim Lesson Director can sign community service hour sheets for volunteers - please bring your sheet on the last day you volunteer for the summer!When you register your child, please list the weeks of swim lessons they plan on helping out with - please make sure they can make at least a full week when they plan on helping out. Session 1, 2 and 3 lessons run from 8:45 - 10:45am Monday - Friday (NO LESSONS 7/4). Session 4 (8/11-8/15) lessons will run from 9:25 - 11:00am.Parents must drop off and pick up - WSA's should plan on being at the pool at 8:30am for Sessions 1, 2, 3 and 9:00am for Session 4.

Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim) - Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim), Session 1 This program is designed for young children and their parents. The purpose of the course is to familiarize children ages 2 – 4 with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, the course also teaches techniques parents can use to help orient their children to the water. Taught in a group setting with certified lifeguards, this program is a great way to help your child learn to be comfortable in the water and introduce them to basic swimming skills using demonstrations, games, and songs! This lesson is modeled after the American Red Cross Parent & Child Swim Program. One adult must accompany each child in the water in proper swim wear.Swim lessons are taught by department-trained swim lesson instructors and volunteer water safety aides. Water Safety Aide Volunteer Program - Water Safety Aides - Summer 2025 Interested in working with children and teaching swim lessons? Sign up today to be a Water Safety Aide (WSA)!Water Safety Aides assist the lifeguard teachers with swim lessons. Teachers will have WSAs demonstrate skills, help enforce safety rules, help watch swimmers and encourage participants in the class. Water Safety Aides may be age 12 to 15 and should have at least level 3 swim lesson experience. The Swim Lesson Director can sign community service hour sheets for volunteers - please bring your sheet on the last day you volunteer for the summer!When you register your child, please list the weeks of swim lessons they plan on helping out with - please make sure they can make at least a full week when they plan on helping out. Session 1, 2 and 3 lessons run from 8:45 - 10:45am Monday - Friday (NO LESSONS 7/4). Session 4 (8/11-8/15) lessons will run from 9:25 - 11:00am.Parents must drop off and pick up - WSA's should plan on being at the pool at 8:30am for Sessions 1, 2, 3 and 9:00am for Session 4.

Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim) - Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim), Session 1 This program is designed for young children and their parents. The purpose of the course is to familiarize children ages 2 – 4 with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, the course also teaches techniques parents can use to help orient their children to the water. Taught in a group setting with certified lifeguards, this program is a great way to help your child learn to be comfortable in the water and introduce them to basic swimming skills using demonstrations, games, and songs! Sign up today to be a Water Safety Aide (WSA)!Water Safety Aides assist the lifeguard teachers with swim lessons. Teachers will have WSAs demonstrate skills, help enforce safety rules, help watch swimmers and encourage participants in the class. Water Safety Aides may be age 12 to 15 and should have at least level 3 swim lesson experience. The Swim Lesson Director can sign community service hour sheets for volunteers - please bring your sheet on the last day you volunteer for the summer!When you register your child, please list the weeks of swim lessons they plan on helping out with - please make sure they can make at least a full week when they plan on helping out. Session 1, 2 and 3 lessons run from 8:45 - 10:45am Monday - Friday (NO LESSONS 7/4). Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim) - Parent & Child Aquatics (Tot Swim), Session 1 This program is designed for young children and their parents. The purpose of the course is to familiarize children ages 2 – 4 with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, the course also teaches techniques parents can use to help orient their children to the water. Taught in a group setting with certified lifeguards, this program is a great way to help your child learn to be comfortable in the water and introduce them to basic swimming skills using demonstrations, games, and songs! This lesson is modeled after the American Red Cross Parent & Child Swim Program. One adult must accompany each child in the water in proper swim wear.Swim lessons are taught by department-trained swim lesson instructors and volunteer water safety aides. All swim lessons are overseen by a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
