Come develop your football skills and test your mettle at our 24th Annual Football Camp! Each session includes fundamental skill development at each offensive and defensive position: Stance, footwork, blocking, tackling, receiving, route-running, pass covering, ball carrying and passing. Coaches will prioritize the instruction of safe, proper tackling technique and limit the full contact sessions to ensure the safety of our campers. Campers have the opportunity to compete with teammates and with players from other high schools from around Section 2. The camp will conclude with controlled scrimmages (FR/JV will scrimmage separately from Varsity).
MINI CAMP: During these first few days, we provide campers a head-start on the team camp! They can obtain gear, set up lockers, utilize the weight room, interact with coaches and acclimate with the camp format.
Cost: $139 for one session or $199 for both sessions, which includes individual position and team coaching, field and equipment preparation and usage, certified athletic trainer on the premises every day and picnic and tee shirt at the end of camp! SIGN UPS: Resident are encouraged to sign up online through the Town of Guilderland Parks and Recreation programs: www.guilderlandrec.com. Registrations with payments may also be mailed or turned in directly to Coach Penna at Guilderland High School or brought to camp. Make checks out to "Guilderland Recreation Department."
Registrations for Session 1 will be accepted through Tuesday, June 9th. Non-residents: contact your home school's coach to coordinate payment.
General Information
What to bring:
Equipment - helmet, shoulder pads, jersey and leg pads (assigned through high school). Coaches will instruct players on what equipment to wear each day.
Mouthpiece, cleats AND sneakers (camper should bring their own).
Sports drink or water (no shared water please).
Session 1: MINI & TEAM CAMP
MINI CAMP: 6/1-6/2 and 6/4-6/5, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
TEAM CAMP: 6/8-6/12, 3:30 - 6:30 P.M.

Session 2: TEAM CAMP
TEAM CAMP: - 8/3-8/6 5:30 - 8:30 P.M. *NO TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE*
*Players must participate in Session 1 or have instructor's permission in order to participate in Session 2.*
Taping and pre-practice will begin at 3:15 p.m. FMS players will start upon arrival. Start and finish times will flex (i.e. JV may start earlier than Varsity) to maximize space and instruction.

Instructor's Experience:
Dan Penna is the head Varsity Football Coach for Guilderland High School 2005-present. He was the Assistant Varsity Coach from 1998-2004.
Dan was the Union College Football Assistant Coach in 1996.
Coach Penna received his Masters Degree in teaching from Union College in 1997.
Dan's playing experience: 4 Year Varsity Lineman at Union College 1992-1995 and Albany Conquest Two-Way Starter in 2002.
