Peter G. Barber, Guilderland Town Supervisor, Welcomes You to GuilderlandRec.com

Guilderland Families,

Our office has been working hard to update our Recreation Programming COVID-19 Participant Guidance.  As many of you know, the State released updated guidance for camps last week - the full New York State document can be found linked at the bottom of this email blast.

After meeting with the Town Supervisor and EMS Department, our office has created a detailed guide for all families and staff to follow to keep everyone involved in our summer programs safe.

Highlights from the 2021 Recreation Programming Participant Guidance:

- Parents will pre-screen their children at home.  When you send your child to a camp/program, you are attesting to the fact that you have performed this pre-screening and answered NO to all of the questions.  Camp staff will document that the child was pre-screened when they arrive at camp.
- Masks are required for all parties when checking in to and departing a program (Outdoor or indoor).
- Masks are strongly encouraged but not required for OUTDOOR programs.
- Masks are required for all parties for indoor programs while they are inside.  If an indoor program goes outside, outdoor program guidance will apply.

We look forward to having your child join us for some summer fun!  Make sure to register for camps today!

-----------

When you register for camps this season, we will be looking for your child's most recent immunization record. If you submitted a copy of your child’s immunization record to our office, they are now added to your GuildelandRec account.  Please take a moment to review each member of your household account.  We will need an up-to-date submission of your child’s immunization record prior to the beginning of camp.

For your convenience, we will be implementing a feature that allows you to upload your child's records directly to your account. The steps to upload immunization records are as follows:

  • Login into your Account
  • Click “Members”
  • Select a Member by clicking on their name
  • Scroll to the bottom - you will see Required Documents and Immunization Records
  • Click on “Upload”
  • Click “Browse” to upload the file
  • Click “Submit”

Please note there is not a clear indication which file or even if the file was uploaded successfully.
Steps can be repeated if necessary.  If you experience any difficulty, for assistance, call the Parks and Recreation Office at 518-456-3150.  In addition, records may be mailed or dropped off to Guilderland Parks and Recreation, 181 State Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009, faxed to 518-456-3156 or emailed to boyta@togny.org.  The submission of immunization records will be reviewed and approved by the Parks & Recreation Department.
