Over the course of the week, Coach Montes plans to share his love of the game of tennis, which is a LIFETIME activity!  Beginner players will focus on basic skills, while advanced beginner and intermediate players will continue to develop their skills.  There will be individual drills, group activities, scoring and game play!  
 
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM    Basketball for Boys & Girls - Basketball Camp for Boys & Girls
This camp is designed to introduce and teach young boys and girls the fun that comes from playing basketball. Kids will learn how to dribble, pass, catch and shoot. Each night’s skills will be taught using exciting drills and games.

This camp is for the new player interested in developing the skills for the lifetime sport of tennis!  No experience necessary!Bring a racquet (used or new if you have one - minimal racquets available) and get ready to have fun!

This camp is designed for wrestlers who want to learn and strengthen the fundamentals of the sport.  Campers will learn and practice essential drills and techniques appropriate for both beginner and advanced wrestlers.  The camp also incorporates wrestling videos and guest speakers to enhance the learning experience.Campers are grouped into small learning groups based on grade, skill level, and experience, allowing for individualized instruction and meaningful interaction with our coaching staff.Instructors include current coaches, wrestlers, and alumni from Guilderland High School, providing campers with knowledgeable instruction and positive role models throughout the week.

Cheerleading has become one of the fastest growing sports in our country!  Pop Warner is very excited to host our 8th summer cheer camp and is looking forward to 4 fun days of cheerleading!  This camp will focus on teaching and practicing the following; motions, cheer, dance, jumps and stunting.
 
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Track and Field Flight Camp - Track and Field Flight Camp
The Flight Camp is designed for track athletes who compete in sprint, hurdle, and jumping events.  Our goal is to give athletes a chance to work on improving their speed, strength, and technique during the off-season.  Camp sessions will include event specific drills, sprint workouts, stations to improve mobility and flexibility, and body weight strength training.  This camp is the perfect opportunity for athletes to improve their skills, or learn a new event, without having to worry about preparing for competition.

The Guilderland Youth Track & Field program offers athletes the complete competitive track & field experience in a low pressure, friendly and extremely fun environment.  Youth athletes will get the opportunity to practice and compete in the events of their choice. Athletes will have the chance to try sprinting, jumping, throwing, hurdling and distance running events.The staff of experienced coaches will help each athlete find the events that are best suited for them. The coaches will also help each athlete improve their speed, endurance, agility and strength using engaging and exciting games, drill and workouts. Athletes will be encouraged to set goals and work towards achieving their goals in inter-squad track meets.

The Summer Hurdle Camp is designed for track athletes who compete, or would like to learn hurdle events.  Our goal is to give athletes a chance to work on improving their speed, strength, and technique during the off-season.  Camp sessions will include event specific drills, workouts and stations to improve Hurdle technique.This camp is the perfect opportunity for athletes to improve their hurdle skills, or learn how to hurdle without having to worry about preparing for competition.

1:30 PM - 3:30 PM    High Climbing Adventure - High Climbing Adventure - Camp 2
Ready to challenge yourself?!  Try zip-lining, climbing the rock wall, tackling the giant wing, and more!  This course takes place on the Farnsworth Middle School Indoor and Outdoor Adventure Courses and is designed to build confidence, teamwork and courage.No prior experience is needed!  Campers just need good listening skills and a willingness to work with others.
