Summer Hurdle Camp

The Summer Hurdle Camp is designed for track athletes who compete, or would like to learn hurdle events. Our goal is to give athletes a chance to work on improving their speed, strength, and technique during the off-season. Camp sessions will include event specific drills, workouts and stations to improve Hurdle technique.
This camp is the perfect opportunity for athletes to improve their hurdle skills, or learn how to hurdle without having to worry about preparing for competition.
General Information
Campers should be comfortably dressed for physical outdoor activity (T-shirts, shorts or sweats, or sneakers).
Wednesdays Only
Please bring your own water bottle.

Instructor Information
Chris Scanlan is a Physical Education Teacher and a Coach for the Guilderland Central School District.
He has taught Physical Education at both the High School and Elementary levels.
Chris is currently a Physical Education Teacher at Guilderland Elementary School.
Chris coaches Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Girls' Varsity Outdoor Track at Guilderland High School.
He has coached multiple Suburban Council Champions, Section 2 Champions, State Champions, State Medal Winners, National Medal Winners, National Champions and All-Americans in the sprint and hurdle events.
