TAWASENTHA MUD MANIA 4 is sponsored by ARE Event Productions in cooperation with the Town of Guilderland Parks & Recreation Department.  NOTE: Sign up for the 12:00 noon wave if you want to be timed! Otherwise, just have fun!

General Information
  • The course is designed to challenge you to a series of obstacles as you run around Tawasentha Park & the Winter Rec Area.
  • The adult race is an appoximate 4-5k course and the kids race is a 1k course (kids stay in the main park).
  • You'll have fun running, walking, climbing, crawling through lots of obstacles, fording the Normanskill, and much, much more!
  • Course marshalls will be on hand to guide you along the course.
  • PREPARED TO GET WET & MUDDY! Wear old clothes & shoes, bring a change of clothes and a towel (fire hoses will be on hand to soak you down!).
  • Costumes are Encouraged! Put a team together with your favorite muddy buddies and have an awesome time!

  • Adult admission includes choice of a burger or hotdog and drink.
  • T-shirts will be available for sale on a first come, first served basis.

Mini Fun Run
  • Kids 12 and under can also enjoy the fun and excitement of getting wet and muddy!
  • The kids will run a 1k course in the main park that will end with a slip 'n slide adventure into the TAWASENTHA MUD PIT!
  • Sorry, the kids registration does not include a lunch ticket. Food will be available for purchase at the LARGE pavilion this year.

Volunteers and Sponsors Needed!
  • Volunteers are needed to help out with parking, packet pickup, course marshalling, etc.
  • If you or your business are interested in being a sponsor, there are many sponsorship opportunities available.

Mudville Tot Playground
  • Little ones can play in the mud at the Mud Pit Playground or just have fun on the playground equipment!

Directions & Parking
  • From Western Avenue (Route 20) turn left onto Route 146 (by the Stewarts) and proceed a quarter mile down Route 146.
  • The entrance to Tawasentha Park will be on your left. Volunteers will direct you to parking.
  • Once the park is full, look for signs to proceed to Guilderland High School (approx. 2 miles from the park) where shuttle buses will shuttle you back to the park. Give yourself enough time!

Mud Mania Party
  • All participants are invited to celebrate the day at beautiful Tawasentha Park with Mud Pit Playground, music, food & refreshments.
  • Remember to bring a change of clothes so you can participate in the post-race fun!
