Lacrosse Ball in Stick
This camp will emphasize traditional stick skills, individual offensive and defensive techniques as well as basic team concepts. Lacrosse skills and scrimmage games will be featured.

General Information
  • All competitions will be modified (rules & procedures) to meet the specific needs of the participants.
  • Campers will be divided into four different levels (Grades K-2, 3-4 & 5-6) to allow appropriate activities for each level.
  • Campers should dress for summer lacrosse activities (Short sleeved shirt, shorts, sneakers or cleats).
  • Campers should bring their own stick.
  • Protective gear (helmet & gloves) will be provided.
  • Campers are encouraged to bring as much of their own equipment as possible.
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • GRADES K-5 will be from 9-11am
  • GRADES 6-9 will be from 12-2pm

COVID-19 Adjustments
  • Lacrosse camp will have two adult instructors and 4-5 High School student counselors
  • Participants will be rotated them through stations, staying with a small group the whole camp.
  • Players will not wear pads- camp focus will be on stick skills
  • Players should bring their own stick.
  • The only shared materials will be balls and goals and players will not touch them other than with their sticks.

Instructor's Experience
  • Mr. McConaghy is a physical education teacher at FMS and is the Guilderland HS boys’ varsity lacrosse coach.
  • Mr. McConaghy is the director of the Adirondack Summer Lacrosse League and is active in the Guilderland Boy’s Youth Lacrosse program.
