Let the girls play!! Come join the action and play the exciting game of flag football!! No experience required! With the explosion of flag football across the country, Guilderland High School has recently added a Varsity Flag Football Team - and this camp is the perfect opportunity for all young women to play, whether you are newcomers coming to learn the basics of the game, or veterans wanting to hone your skills. The goal of our camp is to get all participants oriented and active in the vastly popular sport, which is catching on in the high school, college and even professional levels.
Each day will feature fundamental offensive and defensive skills developed through games and competitions. Campers will learn the basics of the game including passing, running, receiving, covering and defending; additionally, campers will be introduced to the rules, formations, positions and common terminology within the camp. Camp will even feature speed, strength and agility exercises that participants can use on their own to develop their physical ability.
General Information
- Campers should be comfortably dressed for physical outdoor activity (T-shirts, shorts or sweats, cleats or sneakers).
- Please bring your own water bottle and protective mouth guard.

Instructor's Experience
- Guilderland Varsity Flag Football Coach, John Ginder, recently completed his first year at the helm.
- Coach Ginder is a Guilderland High Sschool History Teacher who is also a JV Football Assistant Coach.
- He will be assisted by Coach Penna, a longtime GHS teacher and coach.
