This girls cross country running camp offers female athletes a chance to train in a low pressure, friendly, and fun environment.  Athletes will train on the beautiful trails of Tawasentha Park as the work to improve their endurance, strength, and agility.  The staff of experienced coaches will use fun and exciting games, drills, and workouts to help athletes gain a love for running and reach their full potential.  Athlete will be encouraged to set goals and work towards achieving them.

This Camp runs 5:30 - 7pm Monday - Friday (8/24 - 9/11).  The last week will be Tuesday - Thursday (9/15 - 9/17).

Camp will meet at the field by the small pavilion.

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO GUILDERLAND RESIDENTS/GCSD STUDENTS

Instructor's Experience
Coach Dave Kosier is a Math Teacher at Guilderland High School. He has coached the GHS Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track and Field team for many seasons.

Coach Chris Scanlan is a P.E. teacher and a coach for the Guilderland Central School District. He has taught P.E. at both the high school and elementary levels. Chris is currently a P.E. teacher at Guilderland Elementary. Chris coaches Indoor Track and Girls' Varsity Outdoor Track at Guilderland High School. Chris has been a competitive runner for more than 20 years.

COVID-19 Adjustments
  • We will maintain 6' of spacing between campers
  • Campers will work in groups of 10 people or less
  • We will limit the use of shared equipment and disinfect and equipment used at the end of every session
  • Campers will wear masks when they arrive, and whenever they are not participating in aerobic activities
  • Hand sanitizer will be available and campers will be instructed to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands before and after using any shared equipment
