Peter G. Barber, Guilderland Town Supervisor, Welcomes You to GuilderlandRec.com
We’d like to congratulate our hard-working Director, CJ Gallup, on his well-deserved retirement from The Town of Guilderland Parks and Recreation Department. CJ has anchored the department for 32 years and his dedication and countless hours spent improving our parks system has left a legacy that will be enjoyed for years to come. CJ was more than just a great boss, he was a great friend and confidant to those who worked with him! While we’re sad to see him go, we know his family (and dogs!) will enjoy spending more time with their amazing husband and father. He might even get to take a vacation that lasts longer than a day or two! Thanks for everything, CJ – we’ll miss you!!
Our Saturday Morning Basketball program is full - thank you for your continued support.
Tawasentha Park has wide-ranging and expanding recreational opportunities such as tennis and pickleball courts, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnicking facilities, pavilions and the new outdoor adult exercise area. The Park has an extensive hiking system with a bridge that crosses the Normans Kill and links to trails in the Winter Recreation Area. The new pickleball courts at Nott Road Park are open for use, awaiting the fencing to finalize the project.
Western Turnpike Golf Course, a beautiful 27-hole golf course with practice facilities, a restaurant and banquet services.
