Monarch Butterfly
Butterfly Bonanza is a fun and educational program designed for children entering 2nd and 3rd grade.

General Information
  • Children will work with counselors to care for caterpillars and butterflies in the nursery, learn to identify native species of butterflies and learn about the life cycle of butterflies.
  • Campers will go butterfly catching, read factual and imaginative stories about butterflies and make butterfly-related arts & crafts.
  • Campers should wear clothing suitable for participating in outdoor activities.
  • It is recommended that students wear sneakers and bring a drink, as well as a light snack each day.
  • Students need to bring $10 the first day of camp to cover the cost of supplies.
  • Instructor: Patrice Spring is a 6th grade Math and Science Teacher at FMS with almost 20 years’ experience. She has been teaching Butterfly camps for 12 years.
  • Bus Transportation: AVAILABLE
  • Please note: Patrice Spring will replace Audrey Pafunda as instructor for this camp. Session 1 of Butterfly Bonanza is cancelled.
